Stirring up green smoothies is one of the healthiest and fastest ways to good health and weight loss. Spinach is a great source of calcium, iron, and protein. Grapes make up for your portion of antioxidation, vitamin C, and sugars.

Cucumber & Spinach delight:

A great tasting and a healthy green smoothie is made by adding 1 cucumber, 1 pear, 1 cup of organic baby spinach, about 1/2 cup of cilantro, 1 lemon and 1/4 cup of chilled water or ice or coconut water. You can also replace cucumber with celery if you like.

Cucumber is low in saturated fat and very low in Cholesterol and Sodium.

  • Blueberry and Kale: Stir up a storehouse of antioxidants with this blueberry and kale smoothies. Add 1/2 cup of blueberries, 2 cups of kale, 1/2 cup of yogurt, 1/2 cup of almond or soy milk, 1 banana and 1/4 cup of chilled water or ice. Blend smooth and get a satisfying and healthy smoothie to kick-start your day.

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins C and K and manganese.

  • Tropical Greens: A simple recipe for beginners, this simple yet delicious smoothie requires you to add 1 cup of kale with the thick stems removed, 2 tablespoons of wheatgrass powder or wheat grass juice, 1 ripe mango and 1 pineapple. Just add all ingredients and blend. You can also add chia seeds if you want and you are done!

Wheatgrass is a great source of chlorophyll. Mango is fat, sodium, and cholesterol free and is a  great source of Vitamin A and C.
