Why vitamin C?
Vitamin C or ascorbic acid also called L-ascorbic acid is a water-soluble vitamin that is present in various food and also in form of supplements. Unlike animals, humans are not able to easily absorb Vitamin C as a defect or loss of a gene in the human body restricts the production of enzymes and blocks the final phase in the series for converting glucose to ascorbic acid.

It helps the skin to heal.
Vitamin C protects DNA from the photo chemical reaction that can lead to skin discoloration and tumor. And also, increases the formation of elastin. It is a highly elastic protein in connective tissue which helps the skin to heals and allow the cells to regenerate.

Lowers the bad cholesterol (LPL)
Increasing the intake of Vitamin C in the diet lowers bad cholesterol also known as Low-Density Lipoprotein (lpl).
Vitamin C protects body from a variety of cancers. It slow downs the growth of cancer cells in prostate, liver, colon and other types. Higher concentration of vitamin C might also help in the treatment of cancer.
Reduces the risk of cataract
Research has resulted that a definite intake of vitamin C can decreases the risk of cataract. It improves the vision and reduces eye pressure. It helps the body form and maintain connective tissue, including collagen found in the cornea of the eye.
Vitamin C stimulates the immunity. An individual suffering from wounds could accelerate their healing by taking the optimal dose of vitamin C.
